Latest CBSE Syllabus for Class 12 of English Elective 2017-18
Here, latest syllabus of CBSE Syllabus for Class 12 English Elective (Code No. 001) for the session 2017-18. The new session has started and board updated the new syllabus. There is no change made in the syllabus and exam pattern.
The question paper will be of 100 marks. Question Paper consists of 39 questions.
Section Wise Breakup of 100 marks:
Section - A - Reading an unseen passage and a poem
• VSAQs: Literary or discursive passage of about 900-1000 words.
• SAQs: A poem of about 24-28 lines to test interpretation and appreciation.
• Long Answer Question: A short writing.
• Very Long Answer Question: A composition such as an article / a report / a speech.
• Very Short Answer Question: Transformation of sentences.
→ Long Answer Question: To test deeper understanding, interpretation, appreciation, drawing of inferences and evaluation.
→ Very Long Answer Question: To test deeper understanding, interpretation, appreciation and drawing inferences.
