ARIIA 2020 Rankings: IIT-Madras tops, Check best institutes in India
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has topped the Atal Rankings of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020 under the ‘best centrally funded institution’ category. The rankings were released by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. IIT Mumbai and IIT Delhi clinched the second and third place respectively. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore stands in the fourth place while the IIT Kharagpur stood fifth positions.
ARIIA ranking now getting a wide acceptance among India HEIs and it will certainly inspire Indian
institutions to reorient their mind-set and build ecosystems to encourage high quality research,
innovation and entrepreneurship. Adressing the virtual session, Naidu put pressure on self-reliance and innovation.
ARIIA will primarily focus on 6 main parameters:
