CBSE Class 12 Board Exam| How Marks will be Calculated?
Ministry of Education has decided to cancel CBSE Class 12 Board Exam. In a major decision in the high-level meeting of the Prime Minister, the CBSE Board has agreed to cancel the Class 12 examination. The Prime Minister said that the decision on CBSE's 12 Board examination has been taken in the interest of students.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the concern about the conduct of examinations among students, parents and teachers should be removed. Students should not be forced to appear in the examination in such a stressful situation. ISC Class 12 Board exam has also been cancelled.
In the meeting held on Tuesday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, CBSE Chairman and Secretary, Ministry of Education and CBSE Secretary was also present.
During the hearing of a public interest litigation filed in the Supreme Court on 31 May 2021, on behalf of the Central Government, two days' time was sought to take a final decision on the 12 board examinations. The next hearing of the matter is to be held on June 3, 2021. Around 12 lakh students were registered in the CBSE Board 2020 examinations.
Like CBSE Class 10 Board, CBSE would also prepare Objective Criteria for Class XII. If a student is not satisfied with the result prepared on the basis of internal assessment, then he may be given an opportunity to take the exam after the conditions are normal.
